I grew up in church. I thought I was saved. I wasn't.
It took me years to see the difference between knowing about Jesus and actually knowing Him. The Restored Path exists so you don't have to figure that out alone, and so whatever you're facing, you can see what the Bible really says about it.

Real-life questions. Honest, Bible-based answers.
Marriage, doubt, anxiety, grief, forgiveness, what it means to be saved: whatever you're wrestling with, Scripture has more to say than most of us were ever taught.
Maybe you've believed for years but something feels hollow. Maybe you're new to faith and don't know where to start. Or maybe you're facing something hard right now (a broken relationship, a loss, a question you're afraid to ask out loud) and you want to know what God's Word actually says about it.
That's who I make this for. Not people with it all figured out. People who want the truth, even when it's uncomfortable, and want help applying it to the life they're actually living.
How The Restored Path started
I was raised in church. I knew the songs, the verses, the right answers. And for a long time, I assumed that meant I was saved.
It didn't. I came to Christ later in life, and when I did, I realized how easy it is to sit in a pew for years and never actually surrender. That realization changed everything about how I read the Bible and how I talk about it with other people.
For about five years now, I've led a small group, the kind of setting where people bring their real questions and nobody gets away with a pat answer. Around the same time, I started a YouTube channel to take those same conversations to anyone who needed them. This website came next, as a home for study materials, printables, and deeper resources that go along with the videos.
The name says what I hope happens here: that people find their way back to what's true and get restored along the way.

Scripture first, not opinions.
I do the research so you get what the Bible says in context, not a verse pulled out to prove a point. When something is debated among faithful Christians, I'll tell you that too.
Honest about the hard stuff.
I know what it's like to believe you're fine when you're not. I won't water down hard truths, and I won't use them as a club either.
Tested in real conversations.
Everything I teach has been talked through with real people in a real small group. If it doesn't hold up in someone's actual life, it doesn't make the cut.

Hi, I'm Trey Murray
I'm not a seminary professor, and I don't pretend to be. I'm a believer who came to faith the long way around, and I've spent years studying Scripture, leading a small group, researching hard topics, and, once, giving a sermon I'm still a little nervous thinking about.
What I bring is a lot of time in the Word, a lot of honest conversations, and a real desire to see people know Jesus for themselves, not just know about Him.
Let's walk this path together
